Shop Theory owes its conception to the Henry Ford Trade School, Dearborn, Michigan. The sixth edition intends to meet the needs of both the students and the man in the shop. Three new chapters have been added dealing with aspects and developments important to the industry. The Chapter Career in Machine Shop highlights the opportunities that exits in the manufacturing of skilled machinists. The workman who understands the methods employed to inspect his work would be greater motivated in his effort and be able to take pride in the quality of the output he achieves.
